Les Caves

A historical cellar

A perfect setting for medieval gala or candlelit dinners.

Les Caves des Vollandes (cellars) were built at the end of the 17th century. The stones for this building were transported by boat from Meillerie, a village near Evian. During World War I, the premises were used to store ice that was sold to Geneva’s restaurants and taverns. The temperature of the cellars was also ideal for storing cheese, vegetables and fruits. In the 1970s, a wine merchant took possession of the site. Nowadays the three vaults of this former wine cellar, as well as the foyer, are a perfect venue for cocktails and gala dinners.
