Maison Rousseau et Littérature (MRL)

Back to the Age of Enlightenment.

Rousseau, the world-renowned “citizen of Geneva”.

Born in Geneva in 1712, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, humanist, philosopher, writer and musician, lived here during his early life. Today, his house at 40, Grand-Rue in the Old Town has become a place of sharing and exchanging ideas and opinions, debates and literary meetings, open to the public. The life and work of this illustrious Genevan citizen are portrayed in a subtle synchronisation of sound and image.
