Société de Lecture

Reviving the tradition of the literary salon.

Library and cultural centre in Geneva’s Old Town.

The Société de Lecture, a library and cultural centre, is located in a magnificent 18th century building. In this exceptional and well-stocked library with 400,000 books the ancient tradition of the literary salon is revived. The library’s programme is dynamic, contemporary and varied, suitable for all audiences, such as conferences and workshops. The rooms of the Société de Lecture can also be rented.
